Emergency Food Pantry

The Shawnee Presbyterian Church food pantry is open to all in need.

We can always use toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, toiletries, dish soap and other cleaning supplies, and items that are not covered by food stamps.

Visits are greatest during the holidays. Please contact us if you can donate coupons, store gift cards, or monetary donations.

These food items are most in demand: fruit, canned tomatoes, pasta, mac & cheese (with creamy cheese pouch, not powdered, for families without milk), instant coffee, Jello, drink boxes, canned chicken, cereal, pancake mix, and rice.

Please, no beans (dried or canned), ravioli, or spaghetti.

Hostel

Shawnee Presbyterian Church offers a year-round hostel for groups of 15-35 throughout the year. Amenities include:

– full-service kitchen
– dining area that also serves as a sleeping area with floor mattresses
– two bathrooms with showers
– two sitting or meeting areas
– pull-out couches
– large TV screen and DVD player
– $27/person per night

Book Club

Book Club meets once a month on the second Tuesday at 1:15, except in July and August.

Weis Tapes

Receipts can be left in the baskets in the Narthex or given to any of the ladies from Presbyterian Women. Receipts must show date of purchase. They are a major fundraiser for the good works of the PW ladies.
